ज़िथर
चित्र:Zither solo from G'schichten aus dem Wienerwald Op.325.ogg ज़िथर (zither) एक तंतुवाद्य (तारों वाला संगीत वाद्य) होता है जो स्लोवीनिया, ऑस्ट्रिया, हंगरी, पश्चिमोत्तरी क्रोएशिया, दक्षिणी जर्मनी, मध्य यूरोप के ऐल्प पर्वत क्षेत्र, भारत, चीन व अन्य पूर्व एशियाई इलाक़ों में प्रचलित है। ज़िथर की तारें इसके गूंजने वाले ध्वनि डब्बे से आगे नहीं जाती जबकी सितार की तारें उसके ध्वनि-घड़े से आगे उसकी लम्बी तनी तक जाती हैं। ज़िथरों के कई विविध रूप होते हैं।[१] कुछ ज़िथरों में परदे (फ़्रेट) होते हैं और कुछ में नहीं।[२] भारत की विचित्र वीणा भी एक प्रकार का बिना-परदों वाला ज़िथर है।[२]
