Nihonbashi is at the center of the map. （Sugoroku (a type of board game) Showing Famous Places around Edo）This is a sugoroku (a type of board game) showing a bird's-eye view of famous places around Edo. Starting from Nihonbashi, players passed through the 54 famous places of Edo, before returning to Nihonbashi which was also the goal. The picture shows not only the names of famous places, which formed the squares of the board game, but also the names of other famous places and towns.」
日本語: 江戸名所一覧双六。 上記は山の手。以下は下町。歌川広重。 2018文化財ウィーク展示資料解説p.3(14)，2006文化財ウィーク（1），『江戸地誌とその周辺』図録解説p.4「江戸の名所を鳥瞰図で描いた双六。日本橋を振り出しに、江戸の名所五十四ヶ所を巡り日本橋へ上る。平面図ではわからない江戸全体のおおよその地形が伺える。図中には双六のコマに相当する名所だけでなく、それ以外の名所や町名等も書かれており、江戸を一望する観がある。
